While DeAndre is wrapping up editing our Mommy & Me Sessions, I wanted to share some of our favorites!

And- wanted to show you how we used our special Floral Hoop that we custom made for our sessions. We had a vision for this year's Mother's Day. Floral, beautiful, fun! We came across this image, it was so gorgeous, we felt inspired! This is NOT our image, by the way!

When planning out our dates, I had the idea to ask some of our fellow small business owners to collaborate. 

We were excited to partner with Kids in Motion and Children's Orchard for our sessions. It was great to work with Brandae (owner of Kids in Motion) and Liz (Manager of Children's Orchard).

We have been having the boy's birthday parties at Kids in Motions for years! Its such a fun place to take the kids to burn energy, especially when the weather isn't the greatest (hello-Wisconsin!). Children's Orchard has beautiful second hand clothing for children so of course we love them, too!

As you may have noticed in our inspiration photo, there is a HUGE floral piece that is just so unique! We weren't quite sure we would be able to replicate it but decided to give it a try!

We (ok I) looked at Pinterest -see my board here- for hours. It was so amazing to see how other photographers to have made them, and used them! Apparently, it is made out of a Fire Wood Ring Holder! Who would have ever guessed??

In my research, I found a lot of different tutorials. See this great resource on how to make one here. 

We ordered the ring, and DeAndre put it together so quickly! With a little help from our 2 little boys, I'm sure!

Of course, then I had to go to Hobby Lobby and drop a small fortune on the many garlands and flowers to fill it out. But it was so worth it. What do you think?

Ok, so that *may* not look like much. A lot of time, love, and creativity went into it! Here is the finished Floral Hoop project, with some of our moms. It was so fun capturing these moments!

It was so beautiful to see these moms interacting with their children. Motherhood is a journey like no other. I think we were able to capture the essence of our inspiration photo. I am pleased with how they turned out and can't wait to use our hoop again!!
